About the Opportunity

We need talented individuals with a passion for business development/sales to drive new business growth with community bank prospects.  

The Business Development Executive plays a critical role in the company's success by introducing, marketing and selling Primax to new potential clients in consultative approach.

The Business Development Executive needs to provide value added advice and guidance about payments and issuing opportunities including best practices, products, services, industry developments and new technology as part of the sales process. Our new clients look to Primax as the expert to build successful card programs, and you will have the opportunity to make a real difference.

The ideal candidate has related sales experience working for and/or with community banks, and a proven track record of exceeding sales quotas for new business.

Strategic sales, negotiation, and organizational skills are critical as well as strong analytical skills and payments market knowledge,


 Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Close new business agreements with target financial institutions
  • Identify, qualify, prioritize and connect with decision makers for new opportunities.
  • Demonstrate business and financial value of programs enabled by Primax to senior management at target accounts
  • Manage complete and complex sales-cycles often presenting to executives, committees and/or operational level teams; build long term client relationships
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly quota assignments and forecast sales activity accurately
  • Negotiate pricing and contractual terms to close sale as required, while meeting profitability goals
  • Provide direction and input for product/service enhancements, market trends and company business plan
  • Travel to client sites and events as needed (30%+)
  • Other duties and responsibilities to make strategic impact may be assigned



  • 5-10+ years of sales/business development experience in value-added B2B solution selling.
  • Demonstrable track record of consistent overachievement of sales quota and revenue goals
  • Experience in shortening sales-cycles by demonstrating the financial return of the solution
  • Outstanding communication skills (written and oral), organization, negotiation, presentation and solution selling skills
  • A proven ability to effectively engage, identify and sell to C-level execs and key operational influencers
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities/sales targets at different stages and be self sufficient
  • Comfort building and presenting ROI models and understanding of P&L based selling
  • Ability to clearly communicate and simplify the business value of complex technology/operational processes
  • Experience in the payments, credit card processing and/or community banking areas a plus
  • Solid computer skills including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and a plus
  • Ability to work with and coordinate multiple functions/teams
  • Rolodex of contacts at community financial institutions helpful
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
