About the Opportunity

We need talented individuals with a passion for customer success to work with our financial institution clients and grow their credit/debit card portfolios.  

The Account Relationship Manager plays a critical role in the company's success by managing our existing relationships with community banks and credit unions. The Account Relationship Manager is the primary business contact for the client and will help grow their bankcard portfolios by guiding them on best practices, products, services, industry developments, new technology and marketing initiatives.

The ideal candidate has experience working with community banks and credit unions, and/or managing a credit card program for a financial institution/service provider. Strong analytical skills, strategic assessment ability, and payments market knowledge, as well as relationship management, communication and organizational skills are critical.

 Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Work with an assigned base of bank and credit union clients to drive growth and success of client's bankcard portfolio
  • Prepare and execute an annual business and growth plan for each assigned client; achieve agreed growth targets for card adoption and usage for each client
  • Assess, track and optimize clients' portfolio performance metrics on monthly, quarterly and annual basis; perform quarterly business reviews
  • Periodic travel to client locations is required (estimated 20%-25%)
  • Help clients improve profitability and operational excellence with marketing programs, additional products, programs, credit policy and related services
  • Provide insight and recommendation on product/service enhancements, risk/return tradeoffs  and provide proactive guidance on increasing cardholder usage and adoption
  • Responsible for contract renewals/negotiations and all related business issues;
  • Serve as primary business contact for the client and collaborate with the Primax client services group on daily operational support
  • Manage escalated issues/concerns to insure appropriate response and client satisfaction
  • Provide insight and feedback into new product/service development
  • Ownership of overall satisfaction, retention and success of client relationship

 

Qualifications: 

  • College degree required
  • 5+ years' experience in relationship management, business development and/or account management in related B2B/financial services environment
  • A proven track record of establishing and building strong client relationships with institutions at all organizational levels, and achieving measurable growth
  • Experience in and knowledge of the banking, payments and credit card industry is highly desired
  • Experience working with community banks and credit unions, and/or experience managing credit card programs highly desired
  • Outstanding presentation. communication, analytical, financial modeling and organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively across all internal departments to define/deliver effective solutions
  • Ability to provide high level of service, clarity and response in a calm manner in situations which can involve conflict and/or stress/pressure
